Our Story

Conrad Memorial Baptist Church was founded in May 1946 and named in honor of Dr. A. B. Conrad, who helped guide its organization and early vision. From the beginning, the church was established as a place where people could gather to worship God, grow in faith, and care for one another.
Originally located on Eastchester Drive, the church relocated to its current site in 1978 to better serve a growing congregation and community. The facility was designed with both worship and education in mind, creating space for meaningful gatherings, learning, and fellowship. The C. A. Brown Fellowship Hall has long served as a welcoming place for shared meals, conversations, and connection—reinforcing the church’s commitment to hospitality and community.
Rooted in Faith. Known for Service.
From the beginning, Conrad Baptist Church has been committed to nurturing faith across generations and living out Christ’s love through service. We believe investing in people—especially the next generation—is essential to our calling and reflects God’s heart for families and community.
That commitment is lived out through ongoing partnerships and ministries that allow us to serve in meaningful ways. We are grateful to partner with Wesleyan Academy’s Early Education Childcare program, which meets in our facility and helps provide a nurturing environment for children during their most formative years. In addition, our church family actively serves through local and global outreach efforts—building relationships, meeting practical needs, and extending compassion to those around us.
Whether supporting families, caring for individuals in need, or working alongside community organizations, we seek to be a church that faithfully serves and invests where God has placed us.

Moving Forward Together
While our story began in 1946, it is still being written. Conrad Baptist Church continues to seek God’s guidance as we move into the future—remaining rooted in the faith that has shaped us while investing in the next generation and responding faithfully to the needs around us.
We are grateful for the past, engaged in the present, and hopeful for what lies ahead as we continue serving God and others together.
